Several cockatoos for adoption in Fournier, Ontario for sale

Several male cockatoos, some with clear preference towards women, other towards men are looking for a new loveable, long lasting home. As so many other birds and cockatoos in particular they have been rehomed several times in the past years due to unforeseen circumstances. They are very loveable birds once they get to know you, but like all parrots they can and will bite if they feel threatened, so families with small children should refrain themselves from replying.

Even though there is no adoption and shipping fee (they will only be adopted to a family within a reasonable driving distance in the Ottawa region), there is a strict adoption process in place.
Applicants who consider themselves up for the challenge to deal with a male cockatoo, will be required to fill out an application form and will have to agree to an initial home visit from us to verify their statements and make sure the environment is safe and adequate for a cockatoo. In case you do not agree with a home visit, do not bother to reply. (However if desired, we can provide references from people who have adopted through us already) After these 2 steps, the successful applicants will then be invited to meet with the birds to see which family would be the best match to each bird. The signing of an adoption agreement, basically prohibiting resale and breeding, will be mandatory.
All applications from successful candidates will be kept on file (if desired) for future adoptions.
